Unforgettable Firsts in Canada

Moving to Canada 10 months ago has been an exciting journey filled with many first-time experiences. I want to share some of the most memorable activities that made my first year here truly special.

One of the coolest things I tried was axe throwing. It was thrilling to hurl an axe at a target. It took some practice, but once I got the hang of it, it was incredibly fun and satisfying.

I also attended an Art Battle, where artists compete in live painting sessions. Watching talented artists create stunning works of art in just 20 minutes was fun to witness. The energy in the room was electric, and it was amazing to see creativity in action.

Visiting farms was another highlight. I got to see fields of sunflowers, pumpkins, and tulips. Each visit was unique and beautiful in its way. The sunflower fields were like walking through a sea of yellow, the pumpkin patches were perfect for autumn vibes, and the tulip farms were a riot of color in the spring.

The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) was a mixed experience for me. With its thrilling rides, fun games, and diverse food offerings, it felt like a gigantic fairground. I had my first taste of a deep-fried colossal onion there, which was an unforgettable and distinctly Canadian treat. However, the day ended on a sad note as I lost my phone.

Exploring Casa Loma, a grand castle in Toronto, felt like stepping into a fairy tale. The architecture and the history were fascinating, and the view from the top was breathtaking.

Witnessing the cherry blossoms in bloom was a serene and beautiful experience. The delicate pink flowers created a picturesque scene, perfect for a peaceful stroll.

Sailing on the Kayama was another adventure. Feeling the wind in my hair as we cruised on the water was a wonderful way to experience Canada’s natural beauty.

Finally, visiting the Thousand Islands was like discovering a hidden paradise. The boat tour showed me stunning landscapes and charming little islands scattered across the water.

These experiences have made my first year in Canada unforgettable. Each activity added a unique and exciting memory to my journey.
