New Beginnings: My Path to ECE at George Brown

Starting a new journey is always exciting, especially when it’s in a field as impactful as Early Childhood Education (ECE). After spending years immersed in e-commerce, content, and marketing in India, I’m about to embark on a completely different path—one that’s all about shaping young minds and creating a positive impact on the next generation.

I’ll soon be starting my ECE program at George Brown College. It’s funny how life comes full circle. In 2019, George Brown was the first college I approached for admission in Canada. However, at that time, I was rejected due to my academic gap.

Fast-forward to today. After completing my Interactive Media Management program at Conestoga College, the door to George Brown finally opened for me. It’s a reminder that sometimes, setbacks are just preparations for future successes. The journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s made me appreciate this opportunity even more.

ECE is a new domain for me, and I know there will be challenges ahead. But I’m ready to dive in, learn, and grow. I’m particularly excited about how my background in e-commerce and content creation might bring a unique perspective to this field. After all, creativity and communication are key skills in both arenas.

As I start this two-year learning adventure in Canada, I’m eager to see how this experience will shape me both personally and professionally. I can’t wait to share this journey with all of you, and hopefully, inspire others to pursue their passions, no matter how different they may seem from their previous experiences. Here’s to new beginnings and making a difference!
